This series explores animal migration through data-driven visualizations of bird flight paths. Drawing from real-world tracking data, the project translates the movements of peregrine falcons, Siberian cranes, steppe eagles, barn swallows, and other migratory species into delicate, layered compositions.

Each work is generated through code and digital brush that mimics the fluidity and translucency of watercolor. Rather than functioning as conventional maps, the visualizations transform migration routes into flowing lines, overlapping trajectories, and shifting fields of color. The resulting images exist somewhere between map and drawing, combining precise geographic data with a more intuitive and atmospheric visual language.

The project considers migration as both a biological process and a broader idea of movement across geographic boundaries. The paths of individual birds reveal journeys spanning vast distances while also drawing attention to the landscapes, habitats, and changing environments through which those journeys take place.

By making these movements visible, the series offers a way to consider migration as something both expansive and fragile. Each composition records a journey in motion while capturing a particular moment in the ongoing relationship between species, geography, and a changing world.
