REcalibrate, 2021

REcalibrate is a looping 3D animation that visualizes measured versus panicked breath in two interacting layers. The models themselves are produced from creating wire frames out of waveform audio visualizations of the artist’s breath in two states: peace & panic. The 3D objects’ movements reflect the breathing states in which they represent, with one moving distinctly faster than the other. This motif of two opposing breath states investigates the intimate intermingling of human health and environmental health.
